Roman Worthey

My name is Roman Worthey. I earned my undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies, taking part in the Environmental Leadership Program at the University of Oregon. This program allowed me to evolve as an environmental educator and instill knowledge of climate science and climate justice to the next generation.

 

I come from Brookings Oregon, a small town on the coastal part of the Oregon and California border. This is a part of Oregon's scenic highway, exposing me to the beauties of nature in my developmental years. This created a very personal connection to the environment that lead to a path pursuing my degree in environmental studies, and even getting involved with environmental education. Growing up in this area I feel as though my connection to nature is a key part of who I am, and I would like to be able to give that experience to young people who could thrive with the same connections that I was fortunate enough to experience.
